Biography
Scorpions is a German rock band formed in 1970 in Hanover by Rudolf Schenker.Since the band’s inception, its musical style has ranged from hard rock to heavy metal.The lineup from 1978–92 was the most successful incarnation of the group, and included Klaus Meine (vocals), Rudolf Schenker (rhythm guitar), Matthias Jabs (lead guitar), Francis Buchholz (bass guitar), and Herman Rarebell (drums). The band’s only constant member has been Schenker, although Meine has been the lead singer for all of the band’s studio albums, and Jabs has been a consistent member since 1979. During the mid-1970s, with guitarist Uli Jon Roth part of the line-up, the music of the Scorpions was defined as hard rock.After the departure of Roth in 1978, Matthias Jabs joined and, following the guidance of producer Dieter Dierks, the Scorpions changed their sound towards hard rock/heavy metal, mixed with rock power ballads. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scorpions_(band)

Album & Cover
Animal Magnetism is the seventh studio album by German rock band Scorpions, released in 1980. The RIAA certified the record as Gold on 8 March 1984, and Platinum on 28 October 1991. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Animal_Magnetism_(Scorpions_album)

The album cover was created by Storm Thorgerson  and, as with earlier Scorpions album sleeves, courted controversy. Recalling the cover, Thorgerson remarked, “That one was funny. I don’t think we figured it out. We just knew there was something rude somewhere.” Scorpions bassist at the time, Francis Buchholz, recalls that, “Herman came up with the title for the album Animal Magnetism and we all liked it because it’s an interesting title. So we had this guy Storm who was doing album covers for Pink Floyd, I think he did the one with the guy with the flames (Pink Floyd’s Wish You Were Here). So Storm came up with the idea for the Animal Magnetism cover, I personally didn’t like it, but the rest of the band loved it. I liked the dog though.”
