Biography
Montrose was a California-based hard rock band. The band originally featured Ronnie Montrose on guitar and future solo artist and Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar. Rounding out the original foursome were bassist Bill Church and drummer Denny Carmassi. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montrose_(band)

Album & Cover
Jump on It is the fourth album by the California-based hard rock band Montrose. It is the second Montrose album to feature singer Bob James and keyboardist Jim Alcivar, and features bassist Randy Jo Hobbs on three songs. The remainder of the bass parts were supplied by Jim Alcivar via the keyboard and there was no bassist on the Jump on It tour. Jack Douglas produced the album. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jump_on_It_(Montrose_album)

Making the album cover is explained by Richard Manning: A sepia toned black and white print. Sepia toning is not always done as a basis for hand tinting, but in this instance, as two thirds of the image is flesh, it offers a good base colour. I masked the knickers with transpaseal and washed in a bright red Photo dye using cotton wool, blotted the excess liquid and dried the print. I masked the legs and washed in a light flesh tone and then airbrushed some shading.
