Biography
A London-based band who were popular on the club and college circuit. After an album for Polydor, which is now rare and sought-after because it was withdrawn soon after its release, they were signed to Charisma after they were spotted by the label’s boss Tony Stratton-Smith supporting Led Zeppelin at the Lyceum in London. Howard Werth was an original band member.

Album & Cover
Lunch is the fourth album by the British art rock band Audience. It was their last original release before the departure of Keith Gemmell and the band’s breaking up for several years.It peaked at 175 on the Billboard 200 chart.

The idea behind this cover design came from Stephen Sondheim who coined the phrase ‘ladies who lunch’ describing wealthy housewives who doing nothing else but socialise and have lunch. Howard Werth also had a solo album called ‘King Brilliant’ with its cover also designed by Hipgnosis
